Behind the scenes at OLDA Sweden

It was an early start on 30 October for our Account Manager Paul and New Business Development Manager Bas, as they flew to Sweden and back in a single day to visit our supplier OLDA, known for its (automatic) flush bolts. They strengthened their product knowledge by attending an in‑depth product training session and were given a behind‑the‑scenes look at OLDA’s advanced new machinery park.

Making Strong Connections - Producttraining in Sweden

In 2024, we began our strong partnership with OLDA. For the public launch of their products at the end of that year, Anders, Jonas and Jan‑Erik travelled to the Netherlands to provide our employees with extensive product training on the various types of flush bolts, anti-dust floor sockets and other OLDA products.

Last Thursday, Bas and Paul visited OLDA. Since September this year, Bas has joined our team as New Business Development Manager. And although he is no stranger to hardware and locking systems thanks to his previous experience, the product training at OLDA in Sweden proved highly valuable for him.

Bas states:

Anders, Jonas and Jan‑Erik from OLDA all speak about their products with great enthusiasm, and their knowledge is truly impressive. They clearly explained the differences between automatic, semi‑automatic and manual bolt slides, and I now have a much better understanding of when and why you would use a specific type of automatic bolt slide — as well as what is possible in combination with, for example, drop seals.

At OLDA, innovation never stops. It’s clear that they are constantly moving forward, thinking in solutions rather than limitations. Together, we explored new opportunities to broaden our collaboration and introduce their products to an even wider customer base.

'It truly is an exceptionally well‑run and remarkable company,’ Bas continues. Together with 16 sister companies, they form part of the RZ Group. Through this collective strength, they ensure that their products are 100% Swedish. From raw material to finished product, everything is sourced and manufactured in Sweden and they set exceptionally high standards on the final result.

Their motto is Fit & Forget. Before any bolt slide is shipped to a customer, every single unit is manually tested and measured. They want absolute certainty that the product performs flawlessly, so the customer installs it once and never has to think about it again.

Their waste policy is held to the same high standards; every material stream is meticulously sorted to ensure the most sustainable working process possible.

Paul and Bas were given a tour of the impressive machinery park, where components for the automotive industry are also produced.

‘This machinery park is incredibly advanced and designed to manufacture products with NASA‑level precision,’ Paul explains. ‘And then to think that the very same state‑of‑the‑art facility is used to produce the OLDA flush bolts and floor sockets.’
