Not one or two days, but three days of training and meeting existing and new (potential) customers at five different locations! The Lecot on Tour trade show took place for the first time this year on the MS Geoffrey Chaucer, a 135-meter-long river cruise ship built in 2020. In one week, more than 100 suppliers visited the cities of Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, Hasselt, and Liège!
On Sunday, November 13, Paul traveled to the port of Ghent to prepare the trade show stand for the following morning. Upon arrival, his creativity was immediately put to the test, as the cabins were not high enough to place the Dulimex backdrop as planned. However, being the flexible person he is, Paul was able to create a nice space with the remaining materials where he could neatly present all of the products and banners.
On three mornings, Paul had product trainings on the agenda, where he presented a range of DX products. The feedback was promising!
"I didn't know you had black magnetic latches! That's perfect!"
"I didn't know Dulimex had so many products!"
And that is exactly what we strive for in the spirit of One Stop Shopping; to provide a solution for every customer need! The trainings were a great addition to the program:
In this way, you could give a small group of people the information they were looking for in a relaxed manner, and they also heard each other's questions. That made each training just a little different, and we generally went into more depth than during the afternoon fair," said Paul.
The fair opened daily at 2:00 PM. People could register in advance for one of the locations of their choice. The fair went on every evening until 8:15 PM, after which it was time to go ashore so that the MS Geoffrey Chaucer could sail to the next destination at night. The ship was waiting for us the next morning: Ready for a new day!
Thus, after Ghent, we visited the cities of Brussels, Hasselt, Antwerp, and Liège. The attendance was slightly higher on some days than on others, but it is a good fair!
"I experienced a lot of enthusiasm during the trainings and want to thank Lecot for the organization," said Paul!
After five days of fair at five different locations, it was time to pack up and disembark on Friday evening. It was a good fair with an original concept! Every night, the MS Geoffrey Chaucer sailed to the next destination where a new audience was welcomed.
Paul looks back on a successful fair with many enthusiastic visitors and looks forward to setting up the Chain, Steel Cable, Rope and Accessories concept at the rest of the Lecot branches!
