Lecot Poperinge has been designated as the pilot store for all 82 Lecot stores

Let’s rewind a few years. During the Lecot on Tour Exhibition, our shelf concept brackets emerged as a promising solution for Lecot stores. Now, two years later, a pilot store has become a reality — featuring both white and black shelf brackets and wall rails. This marks the starting point for a rollout to no fewer than 82 Lecot locations. The pilot store serves as a model, enabling Lecot employees to take the lead in implementing the new layout and product range in their own stores.

The setup

Our account manager Paul and our colleague Ivo visited Lecot in Poperinge to install the shelving concept specifically tailored for Lecot, so it could serve as an example for other Lecot stores. This concept features black and white elements from the Dolle wall rail system, complemented by individual shelf brackets and folding brackets. The modular wall rail system includes both single and double brackets that can be easily combined, allowing Lecots customers to effortlessly configure their own customised storage solutions.

The setup in pilotstore Poperinge serves as a reference for Lecot locations in both the Netherlands and Belgium.
During the pilot setup, Product Manager Jurgen De Lameillieure and Category Assistant Iris Deboeuf were on site to document the process and capture photos of the installation. These visuals and insights were shared to help other Lecot stores get started right away using the products that had already been delivered.

Complex logistics

How do you manage to distribute 500 standard packages and 200 extra-long ones — all packed onto 10 Euro pallets and 6 long pallets, weighing over 11,000 kg — across 82 stores, and have them all delivered at the same time? That was the real logistical challenge for our warehouse team. But they pulled it off: every shipment arrived on time and in perfect condition at its destination.
