Recently some renovation work has been carried out around our warehouse. The reason for this renovation was the creation of a better routing within our office building and thus a physical separation between the various spaces. Every day we experience the great benefits of this investment.

Warehouse & Logistics Manager Joop Baaijens explains:

"The main reason we wanted to initiate this renovation is because we wanted to improve the routing around the warehouse and thus create more peace and quiet around the workplaces. Previously everyone walked straight through the warehouse and our office to the showroom and offices at this site of the building. This caused a lot of restlessness and it did not benefit the temperature either because the outside door connected directly to the warehouse and our office. "

A corridor has been created in the warehouse and the associated office, creating a management connection between the two office buildings and the showroom. There is no longer a walking route through the different rooms and that offers great benefits that we experience every day:

• Peace and quiet; it definitely benefits the work
• Safety; entering the warehouse is better regulated which benefits the safety of everyone
• Energy efficient; LED lighting has been installed everywhere and the temperature difference between the rooms has been greatly reduced, which is not only much more pleasant but also more energy-efficient.

The “new corridor” has also created new opportunities for redesigning the workstations for both order picking and the packaging, labeling and production department more efficiently. In addition, the sanitary facilities and the changing room have been renovated, arranged more efficiently and adapted to the improved routing.

Joop: "We like to be transparent so that through the use of glass there is still a good image of our 3,200 m2 warehouse and the various other areas. We like that we always give every visitor a quick look at the warehouse. Obviously, a guided tour will not be a thing of the past because this will always be possible. We are proud of our warehouse and we are happy to show it! ".
