New in our range: the DX Friction-bearing hinge!
With the new DX Friction-bearing hinges, heavy doors can now be hung with fewer hinges, which also last longer. And they look great!

We succeeded and we would like to show that now. The big advantage for professional processors is that they can now hang heavier doors with fewer hinges and save costs that way.”
Great carrying capacity
Because doors are getting heavier, more and more is required of the bearing capacity of hinges. Due to the Friction-bearing hinge and the button thickness, the Friction-bearing hinge has a better weight distribution over the button. This creates a greater load-bearing capacity, making it applicable to heavier doors. Moreover, this means that fewer hinges are sufficient than with other hinge types, which results in cost savings.
Certification and high test scores
The inclusion of the DX Friction-bearing hinge is a nice addition to our existing range of hinges. All our Friction-bearing hinges are CE certified. This is how they score in load-bearing capacity: hinge class 13 (EN 1935). They have passed a test with 200,000 revolutions on a test door of 120 kg!
Thanks to the HPCE coating, the hinges achieved the highest achievable score in corrosion resistance: class 4. This in a test of 240 hours (EN 1670).
In addition to excellent product properties, an improvement has also been made in the design of the hinge. The pin head and button form a tight whole, because they connect almost seamlessly after locking.
Four variants:
- For windows, doors and hinged windows (double push-button design)
- Models without or with SKG *** ® quality mark, added to SKH list publication 98-08 Burglar-resistant wall carpentry.
Distribution and delivery
As a stockholding wholesaler Dulimex distributes the DX Friction-bearing hinges from Vaassen to the affiliated intermediate trade: wholesalers, hardware stores, DIY stores and web shops. They are available from the first week of July 2020.
