Stainless steel flag hinge wins PKVW prize!

During the Safe Living Day on Wednesday 3 October, the prestigious prizes of the Police Safe Living Seal (PKVW) were awarded. The most innovative PKVW product 2018 is the stainless steel flag hinge SKG *** ® without pin from Dulimex. The prize was presented by Sybren van der Velden of the Police and Patrick van den Brink of the CCV. Naturally Dulimex is very proud and thank the visitors of the Safe Living Day and the professional jury for the confidence they have shown in this DX product.

The stainless steel ball-bearing split hinge SKG *** ® without thief pin has a hinge leaf of which the knot at the top and bottom consists of one piece. The advantage of this is that the hinge leaf is completely closed at the top and bottom. This makes it impossible to forcibly unroll the button, which makes this hinge very burglar-resistant. In the old situation the button of our safety hinges closed with a cap. Theoretically these can be unrolled "more easily" and a pin is necessary so that the door cannot be lifted.

Standards
When BRL 3104: 15-04-2016 & AE 3104: 13-06-2016 took effect, in addition to a relationship with the Dutch Building Decree a relationship was also established with the European standards EN 1627 to EN 1630: 2011. According to these standards the testing method for hinges and locks has been supplemented with a 71 cm crowbar (instead of 51 cm).

Our new model has passed the test method from the BRL 3104 with ease. A door can already be hung with 4 paumelle hinges in accordance with the SKG *** quality mark. For other SKG *** approved hinges and paumelle hinges, the requirement is that at least 5 pieces must be used to maintain the quality mark (in accordance with AE 3104). Finally, due to the lack of the pin it is no longer necessary to drill a hole in the frame.
