All goods scannable and recognizable

If you receive goods from Dulimex, almost all of them will be scannable from January 2020. In the second half of the past year, the part out of the more than 4,000 articles that were not yet scannable were then also provided with an EAN / barcode.
This means that from now on only shipments that can be recognized by barcode will leave our warehouse.
Dulimex makes this improvement because it wants to improve efficiency and reduce the chance of errors, both in the receipt and shipping of our products. This applies to both externally at our customers and internally in our own warehouse.

The innovation will have a positive effect on all those involved in the chain. The improved process already starts at the source; the more than 150 different manufacturers and suppliers spread across Europe and Asia, where our products are manufactured. Approaching all these international relations and getting them to label the articles was a challenging job.
It also turned out to be an intensive project internally in our own warehouse, where the existing stock has been repackaged and labeled. Our Warehouse & Logistics team has brought this to a good result with a highly structured approach and motivating team spirit.

From Vaassen the Netherlands, the now scannable and thus recognizable products find their way to the customer and then reach their destination at the end user.

Product safety law (PSL)
Parallel to this improvement is another process that Dulimex wants to complete. In the future Dulimex wants to label all sales packaging with the name and address details of Dulimex and the country of origin.

This exercise was started because Dulimex considers it important to meet all the requirements of the Product safety law (PLS). The purpose of this is to protect consumers against "anonymous products". Thanks to this directive all articles are traceable to the source so that one party can always be held responsible.
Dulimex expects that the entire stock, including slow movers will be up to date by the summer of 2021.
