Our range of sliding bearing hinges has been further expanded with two stainless steel models with round angle: DX sliding bearing hinge with and without SKG *** ® quality mark. Anti-corrosion, hygienic and stylish; our customers can now contact us for even more areas of application where an interior or exterior door has to be mounted.

Background to this extension
In July last year, we first introduced sliding bearing hinges on the market. Then with the steel plain galvanized models. We were immediately able to offer our customers the most important product advantage of a sliding bearing hinge, namely the greater load-bearing capacity compared to other hinge types. In order to be able to offer this advantage also for outdoor use and an even more extensive indoor application, we started developing these two stainless steel models together with our manufacturer shortly after the introduction of the steel models. And the result is impressive!

Why sliding bearing hinges?
Because doors are getting heavier, more and more is required of the bearing capacity of hinges. Due to the sliding bearings and the button thickness, the hinge has a better weight distribution over the button. This creates a greater load-bearing capacity, making it applicable to heavier doors. Moreover this means that fewer hinges are sufficient than with other hinge types, which results in cost savings.

Certification and high test scores
Just like the steel models, the stainless steel models sliding bearing hinges are also CE certified. They have passed a test with 200.000 revolutions on a test door of 120 kg and thus score hinge class 13 (EN 1935) in the CE marking. Due to the stainless steel material, the hinges achieved the highest achievable score in corrosion resistance: class 4. This in a test of 240 hours (EN 1670).

Stylish
In addition to these excellent product properties an improvement has also been made in the design of the hinge. The pin head and button form a tight whole because they connect almost seamlessly after locking. In short, a stylish element on an interior or exterior door.
