Week of 1.000 Examples

For the week of the 1000 Examples we were put in the limelight on 8th October 2020! Alderman Erik Visser of the Municipality of Epe came to drink a "digital cup of coffee" with Joop Baaijens, our Warehouse and Logistics manager.

Social entrepreneurship is self-evident for us. People from sheltered employment have been working at our company for years. That is why we work together with the work company Lucrato from Apeldoorn.

Joop Baaijens:
“I think it is an important task and role for an entrepreneur. It is so nice to empower people and to see them develop further from there. In the beginning it naturally takes some extra time to provide good guidance and as a manager I feel you have an important role in this. Then you get a lot in return, you see people flourish. They feel and are really one of us, for example they also wear our work clothes. I can wholeheartedly recommend social entrepreneurship to everyone. ”

Erik Visser expresses his great appreciation for the opportunities we offer to people at a distance from the labor market.

Erik Visser:

On to 100,000 jobs!
"Towards 100.000 Jobs" is the overarching organization that supports employers to create jobs for people with disabilities and the initiator of the 'The Week of 1.000 Examples' event that took place this year from 26th to 30th October.

Together with the fleet partners, WSPs, municipalities, regional employers' associations, business circles, individual employers and other inclusion partners, 'the Week of 1.000 Examples' is celebrated. In a week full of events they thank employers who also offer opportunities to people with an occupational disability in the current period. By showing these Best Practices they want to inspire other employers.
