DX fittings and shipping containers
Stacked sea containers that have been converted into housing units. These are “De Skaeve Huse” and the nearby residential studios at the J.C. Verthorenpad 100 in Utrecht. Our DX interior door locks and profile cylinders have been used on all front doors of these houses.
The project
“The Skaeve Huse” is a form of housing in Utrecht for assisted living and intended for people who cannot live in an urban area or care institution. Living studios for students have been built at the same location to accommodate the shortage of student housing in Utrecht. In total it concerned approximately 500 residential studios, 7 Skaeve Huse and 1 house for supervisors.
Recommended products
For this project we were allowed to fill in the master locks and profile cylinders for the front door of each residential unit. The main lock is a DX day and night lock for profile cylinder with white front plate (DNS-50-PCWE). This in combination with different locking 30-30 profile cylinders (PCW 30302 KD).

We have realized this project in collaboration with our partners Gerritse Isero IJzerwarengroep and Jecor Professional. The assembly was carried out by contractor Hardeman from Veenendaal.
